[newbie] linux & games, no keyboard via WINE

On a whim, I wanted to try StarCraft via WINE.

The operation of the game (once it loaded) didn't seem
slow at all, but I had absolutely no keyboard support.
For me, the game is unplayable without a keyboard/
mouse combination. Suggestions?
