whenever I run linuxconf or netconf I get an error on exit:

No user "uucp" defined on this system in file
/usr/lib/linuxconf/redhat/perm/uucp

my file /usr/lib/linuxconf/redhat/perm/uucp reads:
/var/spool/uucp uucp root d 755
/usr/sbin/uucico uucp uucp f 6555

since I don't use uucp I commented out these two lines. But i still get the
same message from linuxconf/netconf.

my /etc/passwd file does not have a uucp user defined, nor can i think of why
I'd want one. i do have a uucp alias defined in my alias file as well as in
/etc/group.

can anyone please suggest what to do about this error message?

many thanks...
