I am looking for a program to tell me whether the contents of a list
of directories is the same in two different media (e.g., hard disk and
cdrom). Any ideas?

Adobe has a linux version for its Acrobat Reader now
The available version for Linux is the old 5.08

Ermm Why not use Windows Applications under Windows, and Linux

under Linux? Gotmail works just fine for me
