[newbie] mount usb with granting access

how can mount my usb drive with access privilege. When I wrote as a root mount /dev/sda2 /mnt/usb, I was able to access it the usb but I cannot read or write even though the /mnt/usb has drwxrwxrwx permission. Can anyone help mounting the drive as a root and grant the other users the write access
