i'm trying to install LM 8.1 on a Compaq Armada 1550MDT ... since i can't boot from cd, i've created a boot floppy to use in conjunction with the cd ...
after booting, i begin to load from cd and get: Loading initrd.img ... Loading vmlinux ................ after which the screen is filled with the following line: CPU#0: machine check exception ox 1CBF0 (type ox 9). can anyone help? thanks, kennM
