Bah. Gaim's functionality is so basic you get tired from it in a short while. It was rated #1 in linuxformat.co.uk magazine last month. Basic is what you want. I just wish it had file transfer capability. It supports multiple protocols for EACH IM service instead of JUST the proprietary
