How do you get the session manager to run things like xmodmap, xhost etc after a login? It doesn't look at my .xinitrc file unless I choose 'default'. I'd like to have it execute these no matter which type of session I choose. Is there a way to tell gnome to execute these? I added xmodmap ~/.Xmodmap to the gnome startup programs but it doesn' work.
