[newbie] telnet- enlightment

ok I have everything up and running now..I fixed my resolution and networked
mandrake..I can telnet to the box , but it wont let me loging in. what
should I do?

and when I try to login to enlightenment gnome or blackbox it wont let me.
any ideas?
