Fajar; It's possible that WinXP has enabled it's own
firewall by default. Check your Advanced Network properties
for your network card and see if the firewall has been
enabled. This could be the problem - especially if your
WinXP is not acknowledging back to the DHCP server.

Anyone knows why my winxp pro on notebook isn't getting IP?
In my linux server, I've got messages that said dhcp was discovering request
and then offering IP, but at the end, no ACK.
