I have the same problem with xf86config, so i can´t
start the X server because in DrakX my machine doesn´t respond (my Sansung
monitor goes to Suspend mode and installation stop there (hangs there), i try
changing the monitor and aswering no when the installation said that going to
probe the configuration, but this doesn´t work ), and i try almost everything,
(i even try the svga server, generics monitors, etc,etc,etc..........even
framebuffer server ) and linux IS compatible with my
machine because i have (some time ago) installed Linux-mandrake
6.0 and work just fine and i love it) you found any solution?
I download the iso file of the distribution two
times from two diferent servers, so i don´t think have a iso image
damage........
My hardware is:
Fic Mother board
Pentium II 450
Awe 64 Sound card
Video Card: Diammond Stheal II G460
Monitor: Samsung 7e and a generic Monitor (Leading
Eagle)
