My son has a K7S5A I knew when I bought it sound would be a problem, but the price/performance was so good I reckoned it would be worth buying a sound card for it. As it happens I wrote to SiS about sound drivers, and after a few weeks they sent me binary drivers for each of the kernel revisions from 2.4.4 through to 2.4.12 Great I thought! Mandrake 8.1 uses kernel 2.4.8.... Well the bad news is that they did not work. It seems the MAndrake kernel is not sufficiently like the standard kernel. So far I have not been brave enough to change my kernel, but if anyone else out there is just drop me a line and I'll send you the drivers. As for LAN my MB is without LAN. But have you looked at the SIS support page. They have a LAN driver on there which I thought worked (Its source not binary) Derek > Yep, on a Soltek SL-75KAV mobo.
