Heavy. We need more detail. Copy us /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XErrorDB which gives the details of the errors. You look in /usr/X11R6/bin and there is something like Xconfigurator or Xfsetup or something along those lines that you can execute from the command line that will get you sorted without
