Thanks Steven,
I ran #/bin/bash rm -fR /lib/modules/2.2.9
I then re compiled the Kernel from scratch and it works great. The only
thing that fails at Loadup is the MIDI modules. It says it can not find the
midi module. That is it. Thanks again
procinfo can be found on the 5.3 cd, or from many of the mirrors that have
the 2.2 upgrade rpm's.

hope that helps,

Obviuosly `procinfo` doesn't install by default, since I
don't seem to have it, so where can I find it ?

procinfo -a also works nicely if you have it installed.
Last but not least is there a way to see which IRQs' are being used on
the
system in Linux. In the 2.0.36 kernel it says I have a possible IRQ
# cat /proc/interrupts
Thanks steve. I will have to get the error messages if after I remove all
of that you told me to and redo the make module_install, and I still get
them. I will let you know.
Thanks James
