It is possible to have different boot options for the same version Kernel

When you compile the Kernel you would get a file like zimage-2.2.5 etc...
or bzimage which ever you use

Now when you cp the file to /boot you can name it like 1 or 2 etc.. something
like this

cp zimage-2.2.5 /boot/vmlinuz-2.2.5-1 etc... on down the line

Now when you configure Lilo just have the different options point to the
different versions.

Like Name= Linux1
       Image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.2.5-1

       Name= Linux2
       Image=/boot/vmlinuz-2.2.5-2

You would fill in everything as you would guess this is a example.

This should allow you multible versions of one Kernel...

Hope this helps

Subject: [newbie] SBLive under Mandrake 6.0

Is it possible to have a SoundblasterLive under Mandrake6.0? There is a
driver for SBLive, but just for kernelversions 2.0.36 and 2.2.5. Is it
possible to use these drivers, and how can this be done!?

I also tried to set up a 2.2.5kernel, but it doesn´t boot properly. I
think the problems are caused during the loading of the modules. Is it
possible to run different kernels of different kernelversions on the
same system!?

Can anybody help me with this!

thanks
stefan
