If your trying to have the NVIDIA drivers work in both 2.4 and 2.6 on the same machine it's easy enoughyou just need to use the same version of the kernel driver. eg 5328. you simply install the 2.4 one which updates glx to 5328 version. Then extract the source for the header for the kernel
