I have some problems with XFree86-4.2.1 and my
XF86Config-file.
Graphics card is an ATI Rage 128 and my screen is a
Dell E771p screen. I am using kernel-2.4.19.
My problem is that I can't see the shutdown-progress,
which I want to see.I did see that when I was
using XFree86-4

but can't get my mouse to work. I've selected ps/2, intellimouse, logitech
and microsoft mouse but it is still all screwy. Can anyone suggest
anything?

I am having some problems during System
reboot/shutdown. During a system shutdown/reboot the
console turns black. I am using a ATI Rage 128 card,
and have tried both the ati and r128 driver options in
my XF86Config-file, but no success.

I have three of the same card (Hercules dynamite 128 with 2M
memory). I am only using two at time.
No matter what I do , the secondary video card will not

I am fairly new to re-bulding xfree 86, (Ok REALLY new) and I am
currently running RedHat Linux 8.0. I have been rebuilding everything I
can get my hands on to better run on my server and Xfree86 is next on my
hit list. I have noticed however that it appears to completly lack

red hat once but some friends told me to install debian. So I did. But when
I installed it I couldn't start X.
