I have a dell dimension 2300 (2.4 GHz, Intel chipset 845). I have installed mandrake 9.0 but I can start  X windows at a resolution of 800x600 16 bit. If I try to start X windows at a resolution higher than 800x600 the error message is: no screen found.    What can I do to make x windows run

Hello, I need a way to get a graphic dump of the pointer. I know there's been some discussions about this before. I know there currently arent any support for this in X(Free86), but I want bring up the subject once again. I read something about animated cursor support. Is anyone working on that?

Okay, I'm game. I think the last time you wrote you had a PCI nVidia card, not an AGP one. PCI cards can't use AGP functions at all, thus the results you have. If you want AGP supported in your system, but don't want a card in the AGP slot, best to use 'modprobe -a agpgart' and disable NvAGP ent
