Hi,
Bear in mind that no one can really help you if you just say "my screen

Hi,
is it correct that the 4.x driver for the Cirrus Logic 5430 chip does not
support interlacing while the 3.3.6 driver (XF86_SVGA) did ?
If yes, is it likely that support for interlace will be added to the
4.x driver ?
The reason I ask is that I was able to get 1024x768 at 16 bit with 3.3.6 wh

In your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file, remove the line beginning "virtual"
that follows the color depth you are using, or on the modes line remove
all resolutions higher

i fixed this problem, as root, by editing /etc/lilo.conf, then running the command
lilo.
in particular, i changed
vga=791
to
vga=795
then ran lilo.
appearantly, 791 was fine for my 1024x768 panels
but a different value is need for 1280x1024 panels

Hello!
I am running a Dell Latitude C600 laptop with a Sharp TFT display.
The graphics card is an ATI Mobility M3. I've configured the system
with Mandrake, Red Hat, and Gentoo. While all of them will configure
properly and recognize the card, the X server always ends with the

Hi @ ALL !
I wonder if it's possible to set up a 2nd vt with an X-server running. This
server should be a XDMCP-server for remote-logins. My original server should
be working on the 1st vt as well. Now a remote-client should be able to
connect the 2nd server.
Interesting would also be the link

hi. i'm considering getting one of the new tablet pc's and running netbsd on it.
in reviewing the Intel 830/845G driver page, it looks like this os/driver
combination is not supported, or maybe it's just the new driver upgrade that
hasn't been tested yet with netbsd.
any other info?
thanks,

Hi Rob,
Are you able to change rez by using the
and/or "+" hotkeys ? If so and you're asking how to
change the startup 'default' rez - then I'll let some-

editing the conf (as you can probably tell from my orig
