Well I use RedHat 8.0 but it looks at a quick glance that either your
video card or monitor is set wrong. I would think monitor at a quick
glance.

After finally getting mozilla to compile and install in hopes that it
would run better it runs much worse. It's laggy and so on, can anyone
offer any insight as to why this is?

Are you trying to X as Root? If so try as a regular user, I know it's
not supposed to work that way. Yet if I X as root then I get a very
strange colorless effect. Although mine is so bad that I can't see
anything.
