Hi,

I just got my fixed-ip DSL setup via an ISP. My PC was
preinstalled with Mandarke 7.x - I was able to hook it
up and connect the machine to internet after setting
a few parameters.

What I really want to do is to make it a server for my
internal small network for emails/www/etc. I've registered
the domain, say, foobar.com.

My burning question is: What the steps that I need to do
on this machine or ISP's to get my own network going?
Basically, I want foobar.com and www.foobar.com both pointing
to the same IP for this machine. Do I have to run a named
on this machine? Once the names can be resolved correctly,
what do I need to do so that all emails for @foobar.com
will be routed to this machine? Do I need to configure
sendmail for that purpose?

I've looked at a few HOWTO's but I am still confused to
get started somewhere.

Any help/tips are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jerry
