I just recompiled my kernel and I've got everything working except my
CD-roms... I have the scsi support in there for the cd-rw drive I have and
the kernel finds the drives just fine.. but when I try to mount I get wrong
major/minor number error.I asked someone on IRC and they said I
usually you can just type mount /mnt/cdrom to mount your cd.. mandrake 7.2 uses an automounter so you shouldnt have to do that manually ever. but if you use the mount command it might give you an error to help you solve your problem.Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
ever since I upgraded to mandrake 7.2 my network connection fails at
bootup. more specifically dhcp cant resolve the host name and eth0 fails.
that is until I manually run dhcpcd -h hostnamefrom a prompt. I've
tried every combination of host+domain name for the network settings.
