Ok.
You (root) can give permission to any file you want. Lets, for example, say
root wants to give the ID brian ownership of the file /tmp/tempfile.txt.
chown id:group /file
chown brian:brian /tmp/tempfile.txt

Hi, all.
I am looking to write some apps that will connect to a mysql database.
I have the jdbc driver but I am not sure what port mysql is listening on.
Can anyone help me find the port number?
Thanks in advance,
