OK... I've confirmed that it works. I have 3 different domain names resolving to one IP with a different web page for each (each in its own directory). There is a correction to the information below... The line that reads VirtualHost IPADDRESS needs to read VirtualHost www.yourdomain.com

[newbie] Users and permissions

I've got my server set up. Now I want to be able to log in with something other than root. I'm running Slackware 7.0 and KDE. I went to the user manager in KDE and setup a user but I cannot log in with that account. Am I missing something? Does anyone know of any good/detailed info docs

Bill, No I'm using the same IP for all three sites... Isn't that what virtual hosting is all about? I have an additional IP but I want to run all three sites from the same machine and one IP, so I can have an IP for my workstation. Where do I get Webmin? Jason -Original Message-

I just talked to a Linux guy in my company and he said the he is running 4 different web domains on the same machine with the same IP for all the domains. He says you tell the people hosting your DNS server that you want all your domains and sub-domains i.e.. www, ftp and mail for each
