I recently did a fresh install of xp (slipstreamed with SP1) on a machine for a client (like some of the other posters, I love M$ because I make a lot of money fixing spyware / virii / etc. infected machines). I am on dial up at home, and I _forgot_ to turn on the xp firewall before connecting. I was literally infected with sasser < 10 seconds after connection. I suppose it was my own fault, but it does go to show the level of vulnerability in a windows xp box. You really can't even patch them without getting infected first, unless you are carefully firewalled. Jeff
