Question - should people that can't even cope with unsubscribing themselves
from a mailing list be left alone with Linux? Or with any computer for that
matter?
Just go to the place that you 'suscribed' from and repeat what you did to
'suscribe' except this time click the 'unsuscribe' button instead. Good
grief, it's not exactly hard-core physics.

I also had trouble with my network card recently...turned out my problem was
that it had somehow gained the IRQ and IO addresses of my soundcard. You
could check to make sure that these values are correct, if you can actually
find your network card within Linux.
What sort of network card is it?
Are you trying to install it off the PC Plus disc from last year?
There is a very good HTML help file on the disc which I followed to the
letter and it installed easily..even for a 5 day old newbie like me!!
