Two new members join the Serbian
Caucus!
WASHINGTON â With the Know your Congress campaign in
full swing, two additional members of Congress joined the Congressional
Serbian Caucus this week. Although Congresswoman Lofgren (D-CA)
became the 21st member, she is not new to Serbian issues. Showing concern
for Human Rights for Kosovo Serbs, Rep Lofgren wrote a letter
to Secretary of State [PDF] on behalf of her Serb constituency last
fall. The California Congresswoman is also a member of the
Congressional Caucus on Hellenic Issues, and Caucus on Armenian
Issues. Congressman Ben Chandler (D-KY) was elected to the House of
Representatives in February 2004 and is the 22nd member of the Serbian
Caucus. Congressman Chandler is a member of the Committee on
International Relations where is influence can impact Serbian
issues.
