Russian expert confirmed for 'Blic':

SLOBODAN MILOSEVIC IN CRITICAL CONDITION

'Slobodan Milosevic is in a very critical condition. He can no longer take
part in the court trial against him because his health has considerably
deteriorated, especially regarding artery circulation and brain circulation.
He is in need of a serious medical treatment', Doctor Bokerija Leo
Antonovich said for 'Blic' yesterday. Antonovich works at the Scientific
Center for Cardiovascular Surgery 'Bakuljeva' of the Russian Academy of
Science.

Former Yugoslav president requested yesterday from the Hague Tribunal to be
allowed to undergo medical treatment at this institution during winter pause
in order to be ready for continuation of the trial in the middle of January.

The Trial Chamber of the Hague Tribunal yesterday decided not to separate
the court trial against Milosevic as per the indictment for Kosovo. The
Chamber at the same time refused Milosevic's request to extend the time for
his defense.
