THE MONTENEGRIN PARLIAMENT:
MEDIA LAWS ADOPTED
Podgorica - The Montenegrin Parliament adopted yesterday the set of
Media Laws, drafted by the Montenegrin Government in cooperation with
the experts of the Council of Europe.
The Parliament adopted the amendments proposed by the Liberal Alliance
(LS), which imply putting off the implementation of the regulations
until May 1, 2003.
The new media regulations imply that media have the right to be
established and to work freely. They also imply the transformation of
the state electronic media into a public service.
The Parliament has also adopted the Law on amnesty.
DRAGAN DJUROVIC MET WITH HOYT YEE
USA WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE DEMOCRATIC AND REFORM PROCESSES IN
MONTENEGRO
Podgorica - Vice President of Montenegro's Government Dragan Djurovic
met yesterday with the newly appointed consul of the US Consulate in
Podgorica, Mr. Hoyt Yee. They talked about the current issues regarding
the forthcoming parliamentary elections, about the adoption of the
constitutional charter of Serbia and Montenegro, as well as about the
development of the bilateral relations of Montenegro and the United
States of America (USA).
Mr. Yee reminded of the USA readiness to keep on supporting the reform
and democratic processes in Montenegro - states the announcement from
President Djukanovic`s cabinet.
Djurovic thanked the US Congress and the Government in the name of the
Montenegrin Government for the continuing support to the economic and
democratic processes in Montenegro.
SPECIAL ENVOY OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE IN MONTENEGRO
VERENA TAYLOR IN PODGORICA TODAY
Podgorica - Ms Verena Taylor, the Special Envoy of the Secretary General
of the Council of Europe for the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY),
is paying an official visit to Montenegro today.
She is expected to meet with Montenegrin Premier Filip Vujanovic and
Deputy Speaker of the Montenegrin Parliament Rifat Rastoder - announces

Podgorica - US Ambassador to Belgrade William Montgomery is expected to
arrive in Podgorica tomorrow - announces Podgorica daily newspaper
"Vijesti", quoting the sources close to the US Embassy.
Montgomery will talk again with Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic
and with the leaders of the coalition "Together for Yugoslavia", and
"try once more to draw their attitudes on the nomination of the
Constitutional Court justices closer" - informs "Vijesti".
Montgomery is expected to attend tomorrow the ceremony of opening the
"Opportunity Bank". The Bank was granted the working permit in May. The
bank used to exist as US organization "Micro-credit Montenegro".
COORDINATOR OF THE MONTENEGRIN DELEGATION IN THE COMMISSION FOR DRAFTING
THE CONSTITUTIONAL CHARTER, DRAGAN KUJOVIC: POSTPONEMENT OF FRY'S
JOINING THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE
Podgorica - The Coordinator of the Montenegrin Delegation in the
Commission for drafting the Constitutional Charter, Dragan Kujovic, gave
a statement to BETA Agency. He said that he would ask at the
parliamentary session of the Council of Europe the postponement of the
Federal Republic of Yugoslavia's (FRY) joining the Organization, until
new state union of Serbia and Montenegro is formed.
Instead of the FRY, who ceased to exist the moment the Belgrade
Agreement was signed, I shall ask that the state union of Serbia and
Montenegro enter the Council of Europe.
Kujovic announced that the co-presiding of the Commission for drafting
the constitutional charter, before he goes to Strasbourg, would hold one
more meeting in order to reconsider the contentious issues in the
charter.

USVOJENI MEDIJSKI ZAKONI
Podgorica - Skupstina Crne Gore juce je usvojila medijske zakone, koje
je uradila Vlada Crne Gore u saradnji sa ekspertima Savjeta Evrope (SE).
Parlament je usvojio amandmane Liberalnog saveza (LS), kojim se primjena
tih propisa odlaze do 1. maja 2003. godine.
Novim medijskim zakonima predvidjeno je da Crna Gora garantuje pravo na
slobodno osnivanje i nesmetan rad medija, a drzavni elektronski mediji
bice transformisani u javne servise gradjana.
Skupstina je usvojila i Zakon o amnestiji lica osudjenih za krivicna
djela propisana zakonima Republike Crne Gore.

Podgorica - Aktuelna pitanja u vezi predstojecih parlamentarnih izbora

Podgorica - Americki ambasador u Beogradu Vilijam Montgomeri doputovace
sjutra ponovo u Podgoricu - najavljuju podgoricke "Vijesti", pozivajuci
se na izvore bliske ambasadi Sjedinjenih Americkih Drzava (SAD).
Novim susretom sa predsjednikom Crne Gore Milom Djukanovicem i liderima
koalicije "Zajedno za Jugoslaviju" (ZZJ) Montgomeri ce "jos jednom
pokusati da priblizi stavove o imenovanju sudija Ustavnog suda" - pisu

DRAGAN KUJOVIC: ZATRAZICE ODLAGANJE PRIJEMA SRJ U SAVJET EVROPE
Podgorica - Koordinator crnogorske delegacije u Komisiji za pisanje
ustavne povelje Dragan Kujovic izjavio je agenciji Beta, da ce na
sastanku parlamentarne Skupstine Savjeta Evrope (SE) zatraziti da se
odlozi prijem Savezne Republike Jugoslavije (SRJ) u tu organizaciju, dok
se ne konstituise nova zajednica Srbije i Crne Gore.
Trazicu da u SE udje drzavna zajednica Srbije i Crne Gore, jer je
potpisivanjem Beogradskog sporazuma SRJ prestala da postoji - kazao je
Kujovic.
Odredba o nacinu izbora poslanika za savezni parlament mora biti u
skladu sa Beogradskim sporazumom - rekao je Kujovic, isticuci da se
Demokratska partija socijalista (DPS) zalaze da izbor poslanika za
savezni parlament bude regulisan zakonima drzava clanica.
Kujovic je najavio da ce koopredsjedavajuci Komisije za pisanje ustavne
povelje, prije odlaska u Strazbur, odrzati sastanak na kome ce jos
jedanput razmotriti sporne odredbe ustavne povelje.
PODGORICKI KAP DOBITNIK MEDJUNARODNOG SERTIFIKATA OKS IZ BECA

Podgorica - Podgorickom kombinatu aluminijuma sjutra ce biti urucen
medjunarodni sertifikat ISO - 9001 - 2000 za uvedeni sitem upravljanja
kvalitetom austrijske sertifikacione kuce OKS iz Beca.
Dobijanjem tog sertifikata Kombinat aluminijuma obezbijedio je
pouzdanost kod svih partnera sa kojima sardjuje.
OTVOREN POSTDIPLOMSKI STUDIJ ZA MEDICINSKE SESTRE U UGALU SARADNJA SA
UNIVERZITETOM U OSLU
Podgorica - U Mediteranskom zdravstvenom centru u Igalu juce je svecano
otvoren postidplomski studij za medicinske sestre na engleskom jeziku,
po programu norveskog Lovisenberg univerziteta u Oslu.
Nastavu na tom postdiplomskom studiju vec pohadjaju medicinske sestre iz
Crne Gore, Srbije, Bosne i Hercegovine i Slovenije.
POCELA REALIZACIJA PROJEKTA - TEHNICKA PODRSKA STRUCNOM OBRAZOVANJU U
CRNOJ GORI PROJEKAT VRIJEDAN 800 HILJADA EURA
Podgorica - U Beranama juce je pocela realizacija prve faze projekta
"Tehnicka podrska strucnom obrazovanju u Crnoj Gori", koji finansira
Evropska agencija za rekonstrukciju podsredstvom FAS Internacional iz
Irske.
U tom projektu je angazovano oko 350 ljudi iz Crne Gore, kao i
strucnjaci iz inostranstva.
Evropska agencija za rekonstrukicju za taj projekat izdvojila je oko 800
hiljada eura, a pored Berana projekat ce biti realizovan i u Herceg
Novom.
