MONTGOMERY REGARDING DJUKANOVIC`S VISIT TO WASHINGTON:
USA HELP TO MONTENEGRO WILL BE INCREASED

Podgorica - Djukanovic`s acceptance of the European Union (EU) backed
Agreement on forming a union of Serbia and Montenegro represents a big
step in solving problems in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY) -
said American Ambassador to Belgrade William Montgomery.

During Djukanovic`s forthcoming visit, American officials will be
closely introduced to his views regarding Montenegro's future prospects
following the signing of the Belgrade Agreement - said Montgomery.

After Podgorica`s decision to go along the Brussels-indicated "European
road", America will proceed with bilateral co-operation and increase
financial help to Montenegro, which is already being prepared in the
Congress - Montgomery said.

MONTENEGRIN PARLIAMENT SESSION DELAYED ONCE AGAIN
VUJANOVIC: WHY DOES NOT PARLIAMENT PROCLAIM THE GOVERNMENT MANDATE
CESSATION?

Podgorica - Montenegrin Parliament session, scheduled for yesterday, has
once again been delayed for Tuesday, 30 April.

"The session is delayed because Prime Minister Filip Vujanovic has not
till this day precisely defined his position regarding his resignation,
due to which it was impossible to formulate that item of the agenda" -
said the President of the Parliament Vesna Perovic.

The same reason was the cause of previous delays, and Prime Minister
Vujanovic has sent three letters to the President of the Parliament,
suggesting Parliament's proclamation of mandate cessation of the
Montenegrin Government.

Vujanovic said he "did not understand" why the Republic Parliament would
not accept his proposal on proclaiming cessation of Government's
mandate.

According to Vujanovic, the Parliament ought to proclaim the Government
mandate cessation and thus enable forming of a new Government and
dedicate itself to legislative and other jurisdictions, primarily to
implementation of the Belgrade Agreement - Vujanovic said.

According to "Vijesti", their visit to Podgorica has to do with the

drugim nadleznostima. To se, prije svega odnosi na sprovodjenje
Beogradskog sporazuma - zakljucio je Vujanovic.
