I feel improvements on the SF SVN. Now it takes only 1 checkout and 1 update
now!

Just a a thought. It might sound radical but I think it'll ultimately be for
the better for everybody.
A high level 3 step process of what I'm thinking would go something like
this:
1. Identify and employ a suitable tool(s) to migrate existing codebase to
most reliable and flexible platform
(Does this mean that i am complaining about it too much? :) just kidding)
Going back to topic lets wait for some time more to see if SF could become
better than ever, if it keeps us suffering, than we can consider again.

Perhaps, in some moment, Tuna will need an help with LINQ2NH because he
can't continue that work alone (alone=
Right, many works less time. What Fabio list is the most wanted features so

Yes, definitely. Sourceforge is the step to OSS for me. Like it a lot.
I wish they fix the problems soon.

The history of the OSS can't be thrown so easy... please be patient and use
the SF forum for SF issues... they must have the opportunity to fix the
problem.

Hmm, don't know.
Its really cool that google doesn't allow to create a project space with
name nhibernate because it is already registered at sourceforge!
I just tried it to prevent anybody from grabbing the name!

I tried every possible mix of foward and back slashes, and more stuff. spend
WAAYYY too much time on that crap.
and that's especially when I can use a different tool, which has zero
friction, like g-code

The problem is that the connection is lost. Aparently SF is too slow

Yes, it does but there are times that I need to check out at least trunk, in
order to create a patch when i am also working on something else.

Probably you are using the entirely repository. When a big branch or a big
tag is added to the repository and you try the update you may need more than
one update to have entirely repository back to your working-copy.
In NH I'm using specific working-copy: one for trunk and the other for
NH2.0.x bra
I didn't know about transferring history, it would be cool then.

it's still crap
and it's not so radical.
google code supports uploading a project with it's history
and NH is not using the wiki, site hosting and issue tracker, so nothing
will be changed, except for users updating their svn checkout url

It would be a radical movement, not sure if it is applicable though.
I have to admit that SF became too slow, even their website is so slow.

I've been disappointed with them for quite some time now.
I wasn't even able to update at all for a few weeks. now updating NH takes
about 5-6 updates every time.
crazy idea. as NH is not using any of the fancy sourceforge stuff, why not
move it to somewhere more stable? (say - google code)
