Yah, biking in your ski jacket come January can get stuffy. When the temp
drops below 40F your knees get cold.

Do you have to rub it in? =) I work with guys here who ride year
round as motorcycle funeral escorts. Not sure how they move under all
those layers. Love to ride, but not sure if that would be worth it!

Thank you! I'm looking to start a complete tear down this weekend, so I'll know
what I need in about a week. One thing that is missing is teh right side body
cover. Haven't been able to find one of those anywhere, and since I'm going to
paint the whole thing...

I have a salvage yard about 10 miles from me. I have been dealing with these
guys for 25 years. The last time I was there he had AT LEAST one nighthawk
there for parts. It has been a while but he might still have it. I am in
Central Florida but if you need any parts I would be more than happy to
Work sent me to Cleveland for the first 4 months of this year. I now
appreciate what I have in Houston. I haven't complained once this August
about the heat. I'm still trying to thaw out from the frozen hell I
experienced north of I-10. Year-round riding...sweet.

It's just like Texas, only in reverse. You have your Air conditioning
for the heat in summer, we have furnaces for the cold in winter.
Heated house, into a car you start early to warm up, then into a
heated office. Advantage goes to you though, as riding a motorcycle in
100+ degree heat is prefer

The valve covers are chromed. Cost about $100.00 bucks. My dad had
it done as a surprise for me. I learned later chroming valve covers
can make them hard to seal and not dissipate heat as well (long thread
on this site), but once we got it sealed properly I have had no

I expected it to be blue for some reason ;)
Are your valve covers chromed or just shiny?

So I finally took the time to figure out how to upload a picture.
This is my 83 650. Not the best picture, but the best I had. You can
sort of see the black stripe on the top of the tank. I went with a
black front fender as well. I am still debating if I should put any
decals on or leave it ba

Whatever you decide, good luck. The Nighthawk is a good bike. I
bought an 83 650 last year and love it (though being a bigger guy I
wish it was just a little bigger for longer trips). It runs, but I
have found that the previous owners tended to only do what they needed
to do in order to keep i
Hey Gang,
A few weeks ago I posted a message about some folks who emailed me about

and ready to sell. Here are the details:

A month ago I volunteered to help out a friend's family with some handyman work.
In the process I came across an old bike in the lady's shed out back. Her
husband passed on in the early 90's from cancer and she had his 83' Nighthawk

Hi. I just joined the Nighthawk Lovers group. I uploaded a photo of my
1983 NH 750 without checking the size of the file. Oops. I resized it and
uploaded it again. I'll be more careful in the future.
Nice site. Nice pix. I look forward to sharing info and experiences because
I lover my bike.
I've ordered several times from ServiceHonda and really like their service. If
I remember correctly they have a toll free number for assistance..
