Metal detector??? What kind of motorcycle do you ride...one that beeps??? A cheap easy way to tone down pipes is to but a few baffles...basically they neck down the pipe and hae a fiberglass wrap that helps quiet them down...they also have the added benefit of adding some much needed back pressur
