Yep I keep a small stock pile of spark plugs and oil filters along
with an air filter up in the barn. A few items you may want to
consider having around just incase: spare clutch cable, levers for
both sides, an air filter, an length of plug wire, a spare spark plug
boot (on the 450 I found out th
correction seat doesnt have a rip, was thinking of the 250, and one
more thing i remembered, my choke cable/housing is damaged, cable is
probably fine, but the harness/connector for the plastic part is
broken
and for mileage... id have to go look, and its raining

135 db loud (the sound of a jetliner on takeoff), it does the job! Even
Florida's notoriously deaf Grand Marquis pilots jump out of the way. And
I don't think 1 1/2 inches is a lot of slack. About 1 inch is recommended.
There is a marked guide in the rear left side of the bike that tells you
when you should replace the chain. This is pretty much when you can not
tight it anymore. I do agree, should you change the chain, do change both
sproc

It wouldn't hurt to have an extra oil filter around - it took
a couple days for mine to arrive the last time I needed one.
Apparently the market for 27 year old motorcycle oil filters isn't as
big as I thought :-)

My buddy had one a few years ago. I got to ride it quite a bit and
they are nice bikes. Very similar to the 700S but very different too.
I hear the carbs are a bit harder to get to on the V4 engine but I'd
be equally happy with either bike.

When in doubt swap them out The sprockets should be done as a set... And
the chain couldent hurt... For me its a piece of mind thing

I don't known about air horns, but I know there are normal (electrical)
horns around that are much louder than the stocks. That is an item in my
to-do list. I am sure you can find some option doing some research online.

I was in traffic the other day and someone in a a Cage
(for those that don't have a handy Joey Dictionary, thats a car)
missed a guy on a bike in his blind spot / not checking mirrors.
Nearly cut off the guy on the bike. He hit his horn
Uni sells a service kit (oil and cleaning spray) I can't remember how
much though $20 ? I would imagine you could get a couple years worth
of cleaning an re-oiling from it. The oil is this sticky goop so I
don't think a regular oil would work.

suspension fluid ss8- 10w. I assume different oils will make it
softer/harder. Of course, you are welcome to try my bike before you make a

Sound to me like you simply ran the battery dead before the carb bowls
filled up with gas. When the carbs are dry the won't fill up without
vacume on the petcock. So you have to use the starter or a mighty vac
to prime them. It takes a while. You probably were twisting the
throttle trying to get it

yesterday I installed the new progressive fork springs on my '96 750. There
is not other way drain the oil from the fork other than taking the whole
fork out of the bike and turning it to pour the oil out. That is what I did.

Expect the tach to not work, they are infamous for that. You probably
don't need it to work to pass inspection. And if you over rev it
you'll know it.
