Hello Kurt,
RE have discontinued their Diesel line up.
However, there are a lot of agencies who will mate a Greeves Lombardini engine
to the Bullet gear box.
Riding one is akin to sitting on a vibratory chair for massages.

green I'd be willing to bet your Wing has a knock sensor. It retards
the timing to prevent detonation making less power causing you to open
the throttle more.

I may step down to silver for a while, once I have a solid baseline for 93
octane fuel economy, and see if I can save $.5 a tank. :p
Yeah, I'm a cheapskate.

Work your way up from the bottom. Remove the cable, does the square

the end of your cable into your drill while it's still connected to

I just checked the sticker under the seat on my 450 and it says 91 RON
minimum. That's significant because America and Canadian pumps are
measured in AKI and AKI is several points lower then RON. 91 RON is
roughly equivalent to 87 AKI. However back in March when I first rode

I have recently purchased a 1983 Nighthawk 650 and I love the bike. I am
currently riding it daily and slowly fixing minor problems, however I have one
that baffles me. My speedo does not work, I checked the speedo with a drill and
verified it workedso the next step was to purchase a new cab
I've been meaning to ask this as well - my manual for the 82 450 says
no less than 91 octane (might be 92) but I got into a situation
earlier this year where I had to run 87 (nothing higher available) and

Of the big rig based, or the VW/Volvo jobber I'm musing on? :p
On Sun
Whatever /are/ the recommended fuel grades for our bikes? I looked in my
'93's manual, didn't see a spec.
I've been running premium, what with high compression and air cooling and
all, but is it actually spec'd lower, like 89/silver grade?
Thanks!

Hey Tim, think we could put together something of similar fashion out
of VW parts? Put a nice TDI in there, us a longi Audi drivetrain to
give you 3 wheel drive...
Could always put it together with a Volve I6 diesel and the trans and
axle from that...
Musings abound!

I had the same problem. It might not be the starter. check all connections.
I rebuilt my starter then bought a used one and then discovered that it was

First you need to identify where exactly the leak is located. After the oil
change, give it a good clean to the lower end of the engine and try to
determine where the leaking is coming from, how much and how often.
