Thanks for your Input Kurt, I can only talk to what I have seen, it is good to know you had a different experience. Both of the MACs systems I have dealt with (painted and chromed) rusted badly on the down pipes, and are loud too. The V&H Javier put on his bike just blued the pipes (they are singl

It definitely _should_ be fixed, but unless it's leaking steadily it can hold off until warmer weather. A leaking seal is compromised, and potentially a vector for dirt to get back into that transmission, with much more difficult to repair results. Whereabouts are you located, perhaps one of our o

The V&H that was on my 750 when I bought it was rusty through the chrome all over the pipes. Not sure how old it was, though. I'm sure some of this stuff is pretty hit and miss, but I wouldn't personally look at any aftermarket set of pipes as anything other than a good candidate for a coating fro

Michelle, Just joking about oil leaks. My 1992 750 does not leak. It's tight as a drum. My 1979 Electra-glide was made when AMF owned them. It was a horrible bike. Had lots of problems. Most of today's Harley owners have forgotten or have not experienced those days. Sent from my iPhone > On

Michelle, many of us are perfectionists when it comes to our beloved NHs. A drip of oil just makes a mess on the bike, floor, tailgating cage...well that might be ok. I suppose once oil is where it shouldn't be, more won't really matter. Just make sure you don't get low in the engine oil. Th

You should know that the MACs pipes are not as nice as the Vance & Hines pipes. If you get the painted MACs exhaust expect to repaint them every other year. Also the chrome plating is thin and will rust through fairly easily. The V&H pipes have a nice and thick chrome plating that looks good for ye
