I was thinking carbs too , but wonder if there is something . I am 63 ,
been riding since 13 , have a goldwing 67 superhawk, 66 cl77 , , my hands
are alright , just this bike has a lot of vibrations. I am buying a house
right , but am hoping when the dust settles I can address this problem.

Put it on the center kickstand and with the front wheel off the ground, engine
off, slowly and carefully so you can feel what is going on, turn the handlebars
back and forth through center. See if there is any catching, roughness, etc.
If so, replace the steering column bearings.

Zip-ties through available D-rings, handles, straps and loops are very
flexible, cheap and strong enough (to avoid flapping), works wonders. I've
used them also to secure two bags - one on each side under the rear fender
high enough as to well clear the tire.

That's a weird thing on a 92 NH 750 with that few miles. I never heard of
anyone having vibration issues. No offense, but is there a chance that
there is something wrong with your hands? Have you ridden other bikes
recently? Where are you located?

Maybe someone will have more info but otherwise I'd keep searching on the

Also yes some sidecars have brakes others do not, I have a spindle on its way
that has the option for mounting a brake, if I wish to add it later. It is
better to have it for more controlled stopping and making a slow tight right.

Well, is there anywhere I can find if the same trick can work on the dohc?

It would be cool to run in to a sidecar owner around here, I'd like to ride in

I'm not 100 percent but I think you can cheat it out on the SOHC engine. The
DOHC seems different, like you might have to split the case.

First thing I'd check is carburetor sync. Need a manometer to check and set

Seems wrong to me too.
If it was a 2 cylinder then that would be about right, but not a 4 cyl.
Makes me wonder if maybe something else is going on.
I await input from other members.

Did you already make note that the Ural has two wheel drive. Not sure how
that changes anything except less power into more wheels is good, though it
also adds weight. I think there is a brake in that other wheel too.
I nodded at a local fella in a Ural while out walking the mutt and he
