Just a side note I should clearly I have an ultimate vision of making the bike
into a cafe racer all the way bare bones stripped I find that a very neat
thing there's much beauty in simplicity and I just want to get the project
rolling... being mechanically inclined but never taken on a project
I thought 3 months ago when scouring the internet for my first street bike the
650 was the end all beat all bang for my buck. I mean who could turn down a
running bike with 23k miles and a great back story (the bike was actually won
in a poker game on a navy ship in the 80s) too cool! So I read
Is there any advantage (other than a louder exhaust) to punching out the
rearmost baffle in the mufflers on the these bikes? My Yamaha 650 twin
seems to run happier with that last baffle knocked out, the 450 motor is
also a 360 degree parallel twin, so ...??? Anybody?
