I cleaned and lubed the chain, and it seems ok. Everything's moving
properly. It seems to be coming from the clutch housing.

Thanks.
I think I would have to modify the peg mount to fit the Buell pegs, and I'm
reluctant to do that. I'd rather modify Honda pegs or weld up a pair from
scratch to fit.
My sister lives in Hollister, and I live close enough that I might take the
bike to Corbin and see if they can make a cu
Hi Peeps,
I've noticed a ticking noise as I accelerate from a stop. It starts out
very slowly and speeds up as the bike speeds up until engine noise drowns
it out. I thought the chain might have picked something up at first, so I
watched the chain as the rear wheel rotated slowly, but saw nothi

appearing to begin with?

Paul,
For some reason, my full email address shows up on my replies to posts. Is
there something I'm doing wrong? Do I need to change a setting?

I searched the forum for posts about saddlebags, and I know there really
isn't any consensus about which are the best. So I'll approach it this way:
What doesn't work? I've gotten comfortable on my NH750 (92), and I'm
considering adding throw-over saddlebags. Are there any out there that are

Is there an aftermarket EFI system for the 1991+ CB750, or has anyone
retrofitted a system for another motorcycle onto a 1991+ CB750? Newer bikes
with larger displacement are getting much better mileage than the 750.

wires. I'm going to keep working at it, and replace the bullet connectors
with the two-prong connectors they use to connect lights on RVs. Easy to
plug and unplug and more weather-proof.
Any other ideas about how to splice the trunk wires in?

the trunk brake
light and two separate leads intended to be wired into the bike's
electrical system, with bullet connectors to hook them together when the
trunk is installed.
I'd really like to get this done, because the existing tail light isn't as
noticeable with the trunk installed
Now, I must sheepishly ask which way is on and which way is reserve? I
can't find my owners manual and the face is too rusty to read.

Thanks. That's really detailed. I'll check it out. I should also take a
good look at that system in the Clymer manual. I guess I should mention
that this is my first bike, so detail is good.

I had to change the regulator/rectifier because it kept blowing main fuses,
which meant I had to remove the tank. Now I've put the tank back on, the
bike will turn over, but won't start. I checked and double checked the
petcock - it's on.

the fuse and it was fine.
The number one pin (red/white wire) on the R/R was grounding. According to
the Clymer's manual, there should be infinite resistance between that pin
and ground. Has this been a common problem?
