My 83 550 had two bolts to remove the tensioner on on the front of the motor
and one on the back of the motor i was able to almost eliminate the noise in
mine by starting the bike and loosening the back bolt then tightening it back
up dont know if yours has the same set up or not

So fellas it kinda has slipped my mind until all this recent talk of starting

successful auto shop that specializes in rebuilding starters and alternators if

and the first right i made flipped the signal on and the music stops only when

So hear is something weird allen i dont know if anyone a little thread last
year about a guy that had acceleration problems and it was thought maybe it was
a cross wind well yesterday i was riding in a pretty stiff cross wind 25 mph +
and it was causing problems with the air box i assume the cv

I know on the auto side of things when i run into this on a customers vehicle i
generally just replace the calipers because 99 percent of the time they are
stuck you might be able to clean them but if there is alot of wear then i would

That's not accurate on the 550 nh the choke plungers open to inject more fuel
not less air so it sounds more like a blockage problem my 550 nh was quite

OK so I rode the bike to town maybe 15 miles ran great no problem parked it sat
for an hour maybe well on the way back to work after about 8 miles it starts
sputtering and losing power any time I got near 5 grand doesn't matter what
gear it's in as it nears 5 grand it will not accelerate and sta
