Hey Gang,
I've been contemplating getting a backrest for my 1995 Nighthawk 750, and
FINDING one isn't really a problem. But it seems that every one that I find
requires a cutting of the rear cowl area to make it fit properly. (See
I will check it.
Thank you,

Looking at that picture - is the cutout only noticeable with the taillight
removed? Like of you removed the backrest later, would there be a big obvious
hole?
I agree that I don't like cutting plastic if I don't have to, though.

a bit, but I don't plan on removing the backrest ever. It looks great;the rack

If I'm not mistaken the Hondaline backrests also required some trimming
under the seat on the rear cowl.
It's just a consequence of the available mounting points.

Hi all,
I was just at my mechanics and he said in order to get a backrest on
my bike it would have to be welded. Is this true. I have a 1986 Honda
Nighthawk 450.
Also, if a backrest does exist for that model, anybody have one for
sale?
Thanks!

Go to www.Mutatzu.com. That is where I got mine for my '92 750 nh. Before your
order, take as good a detailed photo of the back end of your bike. I will look
at maybe you won't have to weld. You may want to contact them to see if they
have a direct fit. They may be able to say if welding is
