To add to this conversation, having lower profile tires on a bike can make getting it on the centerstand difficult. I bought a st1100 that I could not get on its centerstand with all the practice in the world. And I've never had an issue with my NH750. So I gave up and never used the stand.

This is how I do it on my 96 NH750. But I have to add that this doesn't quite exactly work on all bikes. The technique is the same, but there are bikes in which just putting your weight on the center stand won't make it. You will actually need to pull up the bike. I have found this to be the case i
