Paul, Sorry I'm not a very good artist, however, this should give you an idea of how I did my spacers for the Matazu sissy bar. The castle nut has no other purpose than to be a spacer. I did not want to buy a bunch of washers & it was the correct length to sit on the long bolt. Thank you, Ros
