Once you've removed the bolt lift the back of the tank and slide it backwards and it will come off. It's just resting on two rubber bushings at the front. The fuel line and vacuum line should be pretty apparent if you shine a light on the petcock. Both are going down towards the carbs. -Kyle On

I need to change spark plugs on my 1984 700S and the dealer's parts counter suggested removing the gas tank to get at the plugs underneath. I removed the bolt at the base of the tank (near the seat), but the tank still seems attached at the front of the bike. The shop manual for the 700S says t
