i had to replace trottle cable for nh 86 700sc. i heard that the cable from a
polaris snowmobile would fit but i dont know. i found the original cable in a
junk yard.

Can I assume that your situation requires replacement ? Badly damaged / missing
? While anything is possible with work, why not originals ? One of the members
has a 700s (US) with a bad engine. Look long enough and parts can be had.
Custom work is time consuming and frustrating.

pull your tank off and remove your coils. you can try to dry them out,
but the best fix is a replacement for them. and try to clean ALL
electrical connections . look atyour wiring as well, when wires get
old the insulation sometimes cracks , add a little water and you get
a mess. good luck
