I changed mine about a year ago leaking oil. I replaced the four plugs too because they had turned hard. I used a heat resistant gasket sealer on the plug (but not the top) I used gasgacinch on both sides of the new gasket (not too much) you don't want excess inside the cover. No more oil leak.

Glen, like Javier said except: I'd go with a Honda gasket, though if Vesrah makes one I have had good luck using their gaskets in the past. Also if the gasket has a ridge to hold it in place on the valve cover you can use grease to keep it from falling out. I use the non hardening permatex on rubbe
