I changed mine about a year ago leaking oil. I replaced the four plugs too
because they had turned hard. I used a heat resistant gasket sealer on the
plug (but not the top) I used gasgacinch on both sides of the new gasket
(not too much) you don't want excess inside the cover. No more oil leak.
Hey Glenn, I hope so too. July is a busy month! The BEST days for me would
be early in that last week, Sun, Mon, Tues (26, 27 or 28). Later in the
week we're hooking up our RV and heading to the Idaho Mountains. Are you
going to be able to update the group on your ride as you go?

Paul, looks you only got part of that long URL string. If you copied it and
got it all pasted into your browser, it would show a route through Chicago,
Badlands, Montana, Seattle, down past you and over to Denver, and then back
across the plains to Atlanta.

Sounds like fun! But the map link you showed was Atlanta to Chicago. Is

Glen, like Javier said except:
I'd go with a Honda gasket, though if Vesrah makes one I have had good luck
using their gaskets in the past.
Also if the gasket has a ridge to hold it in place on the valve cover you
can use grease to keep it from falling out. I use the non hardening

Paul,
I want to make this a separate thread as we get closer to the date, but at
the minimum we're looking at 5,500 miles.
