I was born & raised in So Cal & am familiar with his routes. I also lived in
Portland Oregon for a couple of years. The only road he mentioned that I never
took was Caliente-Bodfish road. It goes to Lake Isabela. Don't know why I never
went to that lake. Several friends did. Great trout fishing
I had the good fortune to live in Santa Cruz for a couple years back in the
day ('70s) and made the trip up the Oregon coast a couple times. I coulda
been the oldtimer with the beard and the beat up Triumph he mentioned.
