Ok, so here is brief update: logged 536 miles the first day, from Carson,
CA to Tucson, AZ. Left at 5am, ride to San Diego was cool, no problems.
Heading East from San Diego is when the sun came out and it was hot and
windy The I probably have about 60-70lbs of stuff, but the bike was
an extra 70lbs of gear can do that... but i would blame it more on the head
wind..
