i found carb cleaner didnt work on my 700s tank, ive tried many things but it
just wont come up...i will try to snap some hi res pics so you can see and give
me a pointer!

Regretfully, in such a case, the
alternative to remove the rest of the discoloration is re-paint.

Wow! You've got great taste in bikes. I just turned 48 and I have the same
bike. To remove gas stains you can just use carb cleaner. Works great.

I took a 3 day course at through the Midwest Motorcycle Training
Center here in Olathe a year before I bought the bike.
I am sending my son though next month since he is 18 and thinking
about getting a bike himself.

If the paint is not too oxidized, use some Meguiar Fine Cut Cleaner; if you are
not familiar with machine buffing, then do it by hand. If it is plenty
oxidized, use medium cut cleaner, then follow up with fine cut.
Then use some of their caranuba waX, or a polymer coating.

I'm gonna guess that repainting is your only real option there, but I would
encourage you to swing by a body shop when you get a moment and get some

question, but I noticed the pencil holding your headlight on. I had to buy
new allen bolts to hold the head light on my 650. There should be capture
nuts on the inside with a bendable clasp to help hold the spaghetti of wire
