OK, Thanks everyone for their imput to this query. I have located a log book for it, which matches the frame number, it was originally an Irish GARDA motor cycle, registered as a VT500 EF, its a bit of a mystery, I am currently getting the tank and bodywork resprayed,, the wineberry candy red, as

Hi, The RC 13 frame has got a straight upper tube ( below the gastank) , the PC11 has got 2 parallel upper tubes. Even the surrounding of the engine no. on your picture doesn't even look like RC 13 Nighthawk. Maybe you just send a picture of the whole engine and we'll see what it looks like.
