I put on Pilot Road 2's on my 750 last summer. about 4k so far and

I really don't know who made the tire - again big mistake. I just put
on what my shop owner had in stock. He's right next to the University
of Hawaii and in college $50 is a lot of beer. It was just a
cheep tire from Japan. I've heard great things about the Kenda's and
have ridden them for

I have to chime in on this one - I purchased a cheep front tire from
the shop I take my bike to. Big mistake. I feel all the grooves in
the road and really don't feel that comfortable in tight corners. I
replaced it within 1,000 miles and don't regret it - don't like having
to buy a second tire

look so bad. My tires are better than my ability as a rider. That suits me

Avon makes the Road Runner which is a fantastic tire for the 83-85
Nighthawk. I have a set on my '83 and they are really nice. My buddy
ran them on his '83 NH commuter and got huge miles from them between
changes. He sold the bike after putting 114k miles on her with most of
those tire changes goi

Graham,
I bought the Bridgestone Battlax BT-021 last week from
motorcycle-superstore.com. I paid $230 for both (free shipping). I selected
to be shipped directly to the shop. The tires arrived last Tuesday. Pretty
good tires, but I don't know if this is the price range you are looking for.
